BlackGurl Inc. seeks to empower high self-esteem, promote critical thinking and encourage social activism through all of our program offerings. We also introduce feminism as a tool of empowerment for our participants. We are committed to improving girls and young women’s self-esteem and giving them an opportunity to understand their power as women and members of society. Lastly, we teach our participants to critique negative depictions of women in the media. BlackGurl Inc. wants our participants to be self-defining, healthy and intelligent women.
